We are a church committed to worship and teaching based on the Bible.  We are part of the Christian Reformed denomination ...

  • Christian because we belong to Jesus Christ and want to be His followers. We recognize as fellow-Christians all people who accept the teachings of the Bible as summarized in the Apostles’ Creed.
  • Reformed because we're part of that historic branch of the Christian church that follows the teachings of 16th-century reformer John Calvin, who struggled to return Christianity to its Biblical roots.
  • Church because God has called us to be a fellowship of His people in the world.

Friendship Christian Reformed Church was organized in the Byron-Gaines community as a place where we, as members, and all who worship with us are encouraged to:

Fellowship with God and His redeemed people;
Rejoice in god our Maker, and praise His holy name;
Impart the love of god to others within His Church and the community;
Extend the hand of friendship to all who enter our doors;
Nurture each other in the faith, with the help of the Holy Spirit;
Demonstrate God's love, using words and deeds of kindness, being ...
Sensitive to the spiritual, physical, and emotional needs of all;
Help to meet the needs of the hurting within the church and community;
Involve ourselves and exercise our spiritual gifts;
Pray for one another, and trust God to hear our prayers;

Commit ourselves to the study of God's Word;
Reflect the example of Christ in hour daily living; and
Celebrate in His saving grace!
