Byron Community Ministries
Byron Community Ministries is a non-profit, incorporated, Christ-centered ministry to disadvantaged, low income, special needs and senior persons, without preference. It is an outreach ministry of twenty-one supporting churches in the Byron area. It offers food,clothing, counseling, referrals, debt counseling and budget planning -- all free of charge. Each sponsoring church (including Friendship CRC) supports the ministry with a Board representative, three food drives a year, financial contributions, and volunteers to assist at the ministry.

Crossroad Bible Institute (CBI)
CBI reaches out to inmates to bring them the truth of God's Word and the love of God's people. Instructors are approved by the church and trained by CBI to share the message of Christ's love to the inmates. This ministry asks for one hour of your time each week ... in your home ... at your convenience. All training is by way of DVD and VHS tapes in your home at a time of your choosing. Field & Stream warmly welcomes all sports-persons to a monthly meeting, held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Meetings often revolve around an experienced sports-person featuring stories, pictures, mounts, rules & regulations, etc. If you enjoy hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors, this is the place to be! Educational speakers and topics are covered throughout the year. A great way to invite your hunting & fishing buddies to church! Foods Resource Bank
Friendship CRC supports the Foods Resource Bank (FRB) with a variety of "growing projects" which help FRB achieve its goal of engaging the grassroots agricultural community in the U.S., along with individuals, churches and urban communities, to grow solutions to hunger problems in our world. Bev Abma, the Executive Director of Programming and Information at FRB, is a member of Friendship CRC.

Guatemala Projects
Every winter, in January or February, a group of Friendship CRC members travel to Guatemala to help with missions work. The missions work includes: building homes, visiting a large orphanage, going to 2 villages with the Gospel, food, clothing, & care packages, and assisting with Bible school.

Kids Hope USA
This ministry sends mentors to at-risk students in local elementary schools. One child, one hour, one church, one school is the premise Kids Hope USA is built on. In Matthew 18, Jesus says, "... and whoever welcomes a child like this in My name, welcomes Me." You can participate in Kids Hope USA as a mentor or as a prayer partner to a mentor. Project Hope (Annetta Jansen) Ministries
This ministry, located in Dorr, MI, needs volunteers to help in the Thrift Store, Resource Assistance, literacy programs, budget and finance workshops, and resource networking. Project Hope's mission is to partner people-in-need with Christians to pursue self-help opportunities, to improve their own quality of life, and give them a realistic hope for a more desirable future.
