July 17 update: We had great travelling and we have arrived safely at Two Moose Camp in Montana. We enjoyed dinner with the Gainey's tonight and will be meeting at the Chapel tonight to begin our Bible study in the book of Romans. Thank the Lord for our safe travel and for the wonderful attitude of the kids (so far) on this trip. Pray for our safety as we continue our activities and pray that we will learn to "walk with God" through our study of Romans.
July 18 update: You can find more pictures on the Friendship CRC Facebook page. Also, we'll post pictures on Monday on this website's photo gallery. Today, we enjoyed church at the camp, in the chapel (pictured below). Mr. Gainey played the organ for us, which was a nice surprise. We also explored at Crystal Park -- where the kids could dig for pieces of crystal and we visited a former state capital of Montana that is now a ghost-town. Devotions took place this morning as well, and we are getting ready for our devotion wrap-up meeting tonight. Everyone is healthy and all is going well.
July 19 update: Nice day hiking today. Pictures on posted on the pictures page (or photo gallery). Everyone is healthy (just in case any moms are reading this). We are meeting in the chapel tonight to review today's devotions: Psalm 63, Psalm 65, and Romans 1. We are going to talk about God's Indescribable World. We've asked the kids to answer this question: "What divine qualities of God do you see in creation? Give examples."
July 20 update: We did a more difficult hike today. We hiked to the top of one of the highest points in the area near Two Moose Camp. Every single person made it to the top. This was a very physical hike. We had a hot dog roast tonight and will do devotions later tonight. Devotions tonight are from Psalms 8, 121, 130, and 131 and from Romans 9 through 11 (the kids had a lot to read this morning). Tomorrow, I think, we are going tubing down the river -- the kids were asking for a more relaxing, less physical day. Pray for our continued safety and for continued great attitudes from the kids.
July 21 update: Successful river tubing today! No injuries; no serious sunburn; great attitude from the kids. Tonight's devotions focus on God's Indescribable Love -- Romans 5 & 6. We will also be looking at Psalms 1, 4, 5, and 8. Beautiful weather out here. God's majesty is in evident.
July 22 update (probably the last update): We climbed up to a lookout tower today. The elevation was almost 10,000 feet! A beautiful view (I've posted new pictures on the PICTURES page). Today's devotions are about the Incredible Life. We are reading Psalms 24, 27, and 29 and Romans 12 and 13. We are answering the following questions: "What is a living sacrifice?" What is the only debt we may have outstanding?" "Where does my mind need renewing?" We are planning to pack up and leave tomorrow. We should be leaving right after devotions tomorrow night -- hoping to be on the road by 11pm (Montana time).
July 26 update: We arrived safely back at church at about 4am, Sunday morning. Thank you for your prayers for our safety! More pictures have been posted on the Pictures page.
