Pastor Cal is the Pastor of Worship & Pastoral Care. In addition to preaching, Pastor Cal is gifted in the area of pastoral ministry. His focus is on our congregational care, visitations, and the prayer ministries supporting these areas. Pastor Cal leads our Pastoral Council, is a member of the Worship Team, and is a member of the Crisis Care Team.

Pastor Cal enjoys all sports, especially including Calvin College basketball, the Denver Broncos, Tiger Woods, and the Detroit Tigers. His passion for sports is only exceeded by his love for family and his passion to serve God in the ministry.
That passion for ministry is fueled by his "amazement at God's grace to me as a sinner and His willingness to use one so common and ordinary as me in the ministry."
It's obvious to those who know Pastor Cal that he loves the Lord he serves and those people God brings into his life.

Pastor Tim is the Pastor of Worship & Youth. In addition to preaching, Pastor Tim is has a heart and passion for youth ministries and for music. A gifted teacher, his focus is on our various youth ministries and their integration throughout our church. Pastor Tim leads the Worship Team, is a member of the Administrative Council, and the Future Ministries Team.

It is Pastor Tim's desire to be an influential part of the spiritual journey of all youth at Friendship. Shaping his ministry to them are two verses:
1 Peter 1:15 says, “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do.” Pastor Tim is most passionate about challenging youth to make a commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and then to live out that profession in absolutely everything they do.
Colossians 3:23-24 says, “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart… It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” Pastor Tim also desires to help youth understand that God desires our best in everything we do. Whether singing in a praise team, doing our homework, playing sports, or working on our car, God calls us to excellence. This is the theme of Pastor Tim's ministry; he serves Christ, and Christ desires our best. Anything less does not adequately express our gratitude for His amazing grace.
