FCRC Adult Ministries

The Friendship community includes adults of all ages (see our demographics).
We have a variety of ministries for adults, including those for just men and for just women.  Some of our ministries for adults are listed below (for a complete list of ministries, go to our Ministries page).  Check it out ...

Ministries for men and/or women ...  Ministries for men only ... Ministries for women only ...

We also offer a wide variety of Missions Ministries and Worship & Music Ministries -- these are located are their own web page.  Please click on the appropriate link to explore these ministries.

AA / Al-Anon
This group meets every Tuesday at 7 pm in the GEMS room (use the middle entrance to the church).  They say denial is the worst enemy of an alcoholic.  We close our eyes and denial sets in, but the problem does not go away.  Come join us.  Our meetings are anonymous and we only go by first names.  If you would rather meet elsewhere, please call us and we will try to help you find the right meeting for you.  Contact Howard & Barb Veurink ... (616) 455-6465 or Steve Jansen ... (616) 813-0813.

College Prayer Partners
Each Friendship CRC college student is assigned a college prayer partner.  If you would like to be a college prayer partner for one of our students, or you are a college student and either don't have a college prayer partner or don't know who your prayer partner is,
let us know.

Connections (or Small Groups)
At Friendship, an effort is made to offer a "connection" within the church body.  Members are invited to participate in a small group (8 to 10 people) which meets from October through May.  The time spent together may simply be fellowship or a Bible study.  Each "Connection" group decides what their group will do at their first meeting.  Some groups do a combination of both.  These "little churches" keep us connected and prevent us from getting lost in the crowd as Friendship continues to grow.

Another kind of "Connection" group is the "
Supper Club".  Supper Club is a small group of Friendship CRC members who will get together once a month for a meal.  They may decide to go out or to take turns having a dinner at each other's home.  It's a time of fellowship and getting to know other members.

Field & Stream -- go to the Field & Stream ministry page for more information
Field & Stream warmly welcomes all sports-persons to a monthly meeting, usually held on the 3rd Tuesday of the month. Meetings often revolve around an experienced sports-person featuring stories, pictures, mounts, rules & regulations, etc. If you enjoy hunting, fishing, and the great outdoors, this is the place to be! Educational speakers and topics are covered throughout the year. A great way to invite your hunting & fishing buddies to church! Please contact the
church office (616-877-4144), or
view the calendar, for meeting information.

Men's Life (men only)
The Men's Life Bible study and fellowship meets on Wednesday mornings from 7 am to 8 am at the Cutlerville Russ' restaurant.  We meet year around.  Following some prayer requests and an opening prayer, we open the Word of God to listen to and learn what God has to teach us.  The good insights of the brothers and helpful testimonies greatly encourage those present.  Our studies go for approximately 30 minutes and then we enjoy some good, and often, humorous conversation with each other -- and a good breakfast!

Prayer Shawl Ministry (Mi-Knit-istry)
This ministry meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month, from 1 - 3 p.m., to get together to knit or crochet prayer shawls.  These shawls are then given to those who are in need of extra comfort because of illness, grief, or another event in their lives.  They are also given in celebration to new parents.  This is not only a time of fellowship, but it is a real ministry of prayer for those in need.

Supper Club
Supper Club is simply a small group of Friendship CRC members who will get together once a month or so and just go out to eat together.  It's a time of fellowship and getting to know other members.  Are you new to Friendship?  This is a great first step to meeting others who worship at Friendship CRC.  For further information,
contact Deb Lanning (616-877-4144).  If you enjoy the Supper Club, you may also want to join "
Connections".
